To stop the apps from running automatically as soon as your Windows 10 load, you need to disable them manually. The task manager is responsible for disabling such applications. All you will require is to visit the appropriate app available in the system. Now you can this either by using shortcut keys or through the settings panel. I will explain both procedures.
But first, let’s discuss why you need to disable startup apps.
Why You Need to Disable Startup Apps in Windows 10
There are several reasons why one should disable startup apps. However, please keep in mind that not all apps should be disabled. For instance, there is no point in disabling the antivirus software. Likewise, if you use apps like OneDrive, you might need to leave them on. Now, let’s look at why certain apps should be disabled.
· Slow Running System
The first and foremost reason for disabling apps is a slow running computer. You might think that the system is slow to turn on because of a virus or low RAM. But that’s not the case every time. In most situations, a system takes time to turn on because there are too many startup apps running. Hence, a system is slow to respond.
· Overheating
Running too many apps can cause your system to overheat. To avoid such problems, the best thing to do is to disable apps. This will keep the system from overheating.
· Bandwidth
Certain apps automatically connect to the internet as soon as they start. You might not know about it. If you are on a limited internet package, these apps can quickly go through your monthly limit. Even if the internet connection is unlimited, these apps can slow down the speed. It can easily affect your productivity.
Which Apps Need to be Disabled?
Apps which have a medium to high startup impact should be disabled right away, especially if you are not using them. Other than them, you should disable apps that you do not use regularly. It will surely help you save bandwidth and improve loading time.
